Top 10 Exhibitions at The NEC in 2015

Did you know that the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham ranks in the top 10 worldwide for “buildings with biggest useable space”? There is a reason it has become the country’s premier exhibition centre since it opened in 1976. It hosts a wide variety of shows each year, and here are 10 you may want to check out in 2015.

Toy Collectors Fair

One of the most prolific exhibitors at the NEC is the Toy Collectors Fair. The event crosses the toy collecting spectrum, from vintage toys of the early 1900s, all the way up to the latest toys available. It’s a great way to while away a lazy Sunday, taking a stroll down memory lane (and you may even take a piece of it home with you!)

Crufts

The largest dog show in the world, as proclaimed by the Guinness Book of Records, Crusts is entering its 24th year at the NEC this March. While a mecca for dog lovers of all kinds, the show centres around the famous “Best in Show” prize, contested by 22,000 dogs!!!

MCM Birmingham Comic Con & Memorabilia

While it may not carry the name value of the San Diego Comic Con, the Birmingham Comic Con is still an excellent event for lovers of pop culture, TV, films and, of course, comics! This years exhibition features a Robots arena, an eSports zone, and a tonne of special guests. And don’t forget your costumes!

The Photography Show

Gadget Show Live

BBC Gardeners World Live

Green fingers will be going wild at this gorgeous summertime exhibition, based on the staple BBC series. Even upon arrival you’ll have your breathe taken away, as the Royal Horticultural Society turns the outdoor areas of the NEC into a stunning oasis of flowers. Inside the exhibition, you’ll find live talks, hands-on experts, and showpiece gardens, all likely to get you planning what to do to your own little patch of land back home.

 

BBC Good Food Show Summer

Running concurrently with the Gardeners World show is yet another iconic BBC showpiece. The Good Food show has a similar set up – live cooking sessions that invite you to taste everything, a wealth of shopping opportunities, and talks from some of the countries leading chefs, such as Merry Berry, James Martin and John Torode
